MERA PEAK

Duration18 daysMax altitude6,476 mDifficultyModerate

01 — Overview

Trekkers wanting maximum altitude with minimal technical difficulty.

At 6,476 m, Mera Central is the highest of Nepal's trekking peaks — a genuine high-altitude mountain with a technically gentle glacier route. The approach through the uninhabited Hinku valley is one of the quietest corners of Khumbu.

From the summit: five of the world's 8,000 m peaks at once — Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Kanchenjunga. Few viewpoints on Earth compare.

  • 6,476 m summit — Nepal's highest trekking peak
  • Five 8,000 m peaks in one panorama
  • The wild Hinku valley approach
  • Zatrwa La crossing
