LANGTANG VALLEY
01 — Overview
Short-on-time trekkers wanting glaciers and villages without flights or passes.
The nearest glacier world to Kathmandu — a seven-day walk up a hanging valley of Tamang villages, yak cheese factories and 7,000 m walls. Langtang was devastated by the 2015 earthquake and has rebuilt itself walk by walk; visiting is the single most direct way to support the valley.
Kyanjin Ri's summit view packs Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa and the whole Tibetan-border range into one sweep.
